Haute Goat + LoveMeKnot Creations = Awesome.

So I told you all about a collaborative project I was working on with another Etsian, HauteGoat.

Behold, the 100% Reclaimed Cashmere Eye Pillow *insert dramatic music here*

It's 100% reclaimed cashmere, with a sheer lining on the inside so no little tiny wheat berries can csneak out. There are unscented, orange, and lavender eye pillows available throughout the Seattle area at a few dowtown boutiques. Heidi at HauteGoat also has a few available in her Etsy Shop! She also makes reclaimed cashmere scarves in two sizes, so go hurry and snatch one up because she's making quite a name for her work, as seen on TV!
Here is a short (about 6 minutes) video from the Local News about Great Gifts for Women, and they showcase HauteGoat's cashmere scarves and our eye pillow, the anchor even tries on the eye pillow, hehe :)

Why hello there...

Sorry for being absent for a couple weeks, it's been busy with school, work, etsy, etc...

I do believe the Trunk show will be held in the Virtual Labs on Etsy.com, but I'll post more info as I know it :)

Happy Belated Bday EtsyRain!

So yesterday was my local street team's 1st birthday, and I'm a nerd and totally forgot to post about it! *sorry!*

Happy Birthday EtsyRain!

We are a wonderful group of crafters in the Seattle metro area who all discuss, talk, share, play, craft, and hang out together.

One year ago it all started with about 20 members, but as of yesterday, we are closing in 400!!!

Yowza!

Just to brag about how awesome EtsyRain is....

We are a very active street team, who fully supports one another. We are having our own EtsyRain craft show on october 12, 2008 (two days after my birthday I might add), so feel free to come on by! It will be at St Edward's State Park in Kenmore, WA.

For our birthday celebration, we decided to do a reverse birthday gift and send a big ol' box of etsyrain gooies from various shops to the Etsy Admins back in New York! We included a disposable camera so they could take pics of themselves while opening the gift and trying things on ;) We all hope they really enjoy our gift, and see just how talented the Seattle EtsyRain team is!!

EtsyRain has done a few shows already this year, and I can't wait for the October one!

Whoo hoooooo!

yum... Jeff Dye...

Ok, so this is totally not business or craft related whatsoever but...

I must profess my love for Jeff Dye. He is on Last Comic Standing on NBC and he is friggin' HILARIOUS! Plus, not too shabby to look at... right ladies???

And, for an extra brownie point, he is from Seattle! I should take him out for a tall vanilla latte... (if you saw him on LCS then you would so get that joke...c'mon..)

Anywho, go get a bib so you can start drooling over his picture...

Coming soon..

Just a quick post to catch you up on my life:)

I got food poisoning and thus oculd not attend this week's Farmer's Market, it bummed me out.

My local Etsy Street Team (EtsyRain) is working on some pretty cool things, look for updates on my blog :)

One of my fellow etsyrainians, Katie, is going to be my table-mate at the Seattle Crave Party on August 13, 2008. Yes it's a Wednesday, but it's 6-9:30pm so you have plenty of time Ladies to get out to Seattle after work!
For more info and to buy tickets online go visit their website at CraveParty.com

I'm super excited for the Crave party and thus will need to get my butt into high gear and sew sew sew!

It Ain't A Secret Anymore!

SO, My best girl-friend, Ms. R I will call her, is getting married next month and we are throwing her a bachelorette party on Jan 26th in Seattle.

It will be a Victoria's Secret themed one with Tiffany & Co. colors (her wedding colors)... and vic's secret because, well...she'll be getting a lot of lingerie :)

So! I'm in charge of food and drinks, and this will be held inside a swanky Seattle hotel suite...

I need some ideas for food and drinks that could work with the theme... which is kinda hard to think of because I don't really know of any lingerie-related appetizers!
Any recipes/links/etc is much appreciated my fellow etsians and bloggers!

I'm looking for easy cocktails, finger-food if possible, foods that are light since we will be leaving to go clubbing and to bars later on...
