My machine died....

Help,
I have no clue what is wrong with my sewing machine.... The top thread is getting caught underneath where the bobbin holder is... I just don't get it! So, creating new items is on hiatus right now... I do have an eye pillow in the works, but that'll have to wait.

I had this happen to me a last year. Check for any nicks around the bobbin case or on the throat plate. The slightest nick can cause trouble. I've heard of some people filing nicks smooth with a file, but I can't attest to that working.

Hey! I just found you through an etsy forum posting for blog links, but wanted to comment on this:

This happens to me sometimes too & there is always one of two reasons:

1. My bobbin isn't wound properly and/or the weight of my bobbin thread doesn't jive with the weight of my top thread. I usually rethread the machine and change the bobbin and this often helps.

2. I need to clean my machine.

I am sure you already tried cleaning and rethreading *smiles* This was happening the other day and now that I cleaned my machine, it stopped.

Hope you get it figured out! A dead machine is NO fun!!!
